As United Methodists, we are committed to be with the people of Louisiana in the immediate and long-term work of rebuilding homes and communities. This is possible through the United Methodist Committee on Relief. You are part of that vital work and you can help today.
How You Can Help:
Prepare and Send the Following Items (as indicated)
The following items should be new:
- Rakes - yard rakes (No leaf rakes)
- Box Fans
- Garden Sprayers - 2 gallon only
- Flat Bill Shovels
- 25 foot Extension Cords
Cookeville District Disaster Response Coordinator Ken Hunter will be delivering a load of supplies on August 29th. Contact the Cookeville District office (931-526-1343) to schedule to drop off your supplies before August 28 to include with his delivery.
These will be distributed through the Tennessee Conference at 302 S. Perimeter Park Drive, Nashville, TN 37211

AGAPE Preschool- AGAPE preschool is a faith based learning center where children are taught the bible and other valuable life lessons in a loving and caring environment. To see more information please click on the AGAPE Preschool tab from our home page.
Burks Adopters- As adopters of Burks Elementary School, Monterey United Methodist Church provides support financially and by our presence. Through volunteers we are able to celebrate each nine weeks with the honor roll recipients by hosting a Cookies and Milk party. Also, during testing time our church members are available for assistance in the classrooms.
The Back Pack Ministry- The Back Pack Ministry is a program designed to distribute back packs filled with food to take home on the weekends to the children who otherwise may not have provisions at home. Every week approximately 60 back packs are filled by volunteers to give to the schools to distribute.
